This story initially broke about the same time as one about how existing supplies of certain kinds of ammunition were being bought up by the feds, making them unavailable to the public, My first reaction was to mentally combine the two; that is, I thought that the purpose of this “order” for ammunition was to remove existing stocks from the shelves, rather than to cause massive new stocks of this ammunition to be manufactured and purchased by the feds. Apparently that was not correct, and this purchase is indeed quite disturbing. But throwing in anti-Jewish references about the “six-pointed star” shape that the bullet forms on impact can only undermine your message of concern by making you look like a “hater”. Cut the above number in half, because I believe there are more on the side of the Constitution than against it. Last article I commented on about this claimed they were ordering millions of them for genocidal purposes, based on the fact that an open ended contract for millions of rounds had been signed. Civilians can buy this ammunition, it is just a well engineered hollow point and it is being produced in vast quantities because it is the standard police round and practice makes perfect.
This ammunition is designed for handguns, it is designed to stop a lethal threat with one shot without exiting the target’s body. ‘Ball’ ammunition which the military is required to use can easily go right through several human beings or most of a house, even when fired from a handgun.
I don’t really see what is so hideous about this ammunition – soft lead is hardly anything new and bullets like this have been around many decades. What is hideous is the ignorance of so called alternative media, who would apparently have law enforcement use ammunition that is designed to over penetrate because it is more humane.
It is articles like this one that leave people with no respect for alternative media – I mean, did you seriously imply that the bullets are ‘death stars of David’? Are you insane? I’ve been called an anti-semite before for much less, just for criticizing policy, but what you wrote here is just a spiteful and silly thing to say. You are more interested in controversy than the truth.
Just pointing out the obvious. Four cuts and the bullet only expands into four petals. Why make it blossom into the hexagram of SIX when three or four would be just as deadly? Study the Edomite Kaballa and you may find out.

I am very familiar with handguns because my father was a Vietnam vet and taught me to shoot before I was 10 years old. Six cuts in a hollow point bullet is fairly standard, I think I’ve seen five before but never three or four. Sometimes there are none, but those tend to be cheap or made from solid copper. The more petals that mushroom outward, the better the expansion of the bullet in general, which is desirable. I realize the significance of the number 6 to the occult and I have studied Jewish mysticism with a critical eye, but it is 100% speculative and VERY SILLY for you to claim that the Jews insisted on six cuts in the bullet… as they say on the street, you pulled that out of your ass – and it just makes you look like a paranoiac who sees a Jew behind everything.
Police in general do not use practice ammo, they practice with their ‘duty’ round – that is the round they always carry when on duty, so they are familiar with the recoil impulse and how it performs if they ever have to use it. The .40 has been adopted by DHS and almost every federal and local law enforcement agency in the country, with some notable exceptions still using the 9x19mm Luger or the .45 ACP. The popularity of this round is the reason so much of it is being produced, and it has been a joke for years that cops can’t shoot straight – that is why so much of this duty ammo has been ordered, for practice. They may never spend as much as they’ve set aside for this purpose, that’s the nature of an open ended contract for ammunition or fuel or whatever. There is nothing sinister here and you do yourself a great disservice by being so keen to speculate.

Fug, troll or not you need to do a bit of re-search of these bloodthirsty jews. You will be horrified to learn that spilling blood is a way of life for these jew monsters. For thousands of years these killers have been roaming the planet killing killing killing. In ancient times these hebrew/habiru were called “cuthroat bandits from across the river”. They didn’t cross the river to negotiate but to kill kill kill. Columbus and his jew friends slaughtered whole Islands of native peoples. etc etc etc for thousands of years. I’m more familiar with the Jewish question than you all seem to think. It is a very complex issue and there are many things that can be said about it, unfortunately there is also a lot of poor scholarship out there and it can be difficult to separate shocking historical facts from the libel of simpletons. I don’t think it is really relevant to this discussion though – I just know for a fact that is silly to suggest that six cuts in a bullet is significant when it is standard practice. I am offering the criticism I do here because I am a fellow traveler and the issues should not be dumbed down to this degree. The government is not afraid of Americans because most Americans are not violent and they readily submit to the overwhelming organizational power of law enforcement. Americans in general are ignorant pigs and I say that as someone whose father and grandfather served in combat during the cold war. My father did horrible things in Vietnam that haunted him to the day he died. You cannot simply blame the Jews and call it good, it is more complicated than that and their killing instruments are not limited to .40 caliber pistols. The IDF prefers 9mm ball and Austrian made Glocks last I checked.
You can face the fact that calling these bullets ‘death stars of david’ is ridiculous or you can ‘want to believe.’ I don’t care, I just had to voice my opinion on this. I think making such a tenuous allegation hurts the cause of truth in general.

DHS needs so many rounds because most of them can’t hit the side of a barn. They are just stocking up before Obama bans the manufacturing of all ammo.
I am a hunter and believe me the bullet configuration does make a big difference in wound severity. A FMJ bullet leaves a much smaller wound channel that a JHP. I once shot a 220 lb pig with a Remington .270 power point, that destroyed the pigs internals .
This is a real turn around from the days people were concerned about police haveing too destructive bullets. SC Troppers once carried .357 revolvers loaded with .38 specials the .357 was two powerful. After a trooper was killed by a felon that six rounds couldn’t bring down, they switched to .40 glocks I don’t what round they use but they have more shots to spray and pray.
However once you are dead does it really as to you as to how you died.

Fug (no doubt writing from a government cubicle). This type ammo, while not highly unusual, is far too expensive and unnecessary for target practice, but more to the point leaves a horrific gaping exit wound. The entry wound will look like a normal hole, but the exit wound will be the size of a soup bowl. The wound is typically not survivable and makes a mess of the corpse.
Baloney. If you can get that kind of performance out of a .40 S&W from a handgun, then you need to be working for the ammo or firearms companies. It can’t be done with any safe CUP working pressure.
I can’t get anywhere close to that even with my 10mm S&W 1006 which is the parent round of the .40 (10mm lite) and a LOT hotter round.
Joe I used to work in a government cubicle, a local government cubicle and my job was bullshit. I’m not a big fan of the government, but I’m not a big fan of sensationalism either.
The reality is that many Americans believe what they see on TV about guns and have very little experience with them. I was once hospitalized with a roommate who had been shot five times with a Colt .45, in the chest, all in one incident. He was paraplegic but otherwise in good shape one year later. You know nothing but what you have seen on TV about guns.
The .40 is known as “.40 short and wimpy” to those who are familiar with its parent cartridge, the 10x25mm favored by Ted Nugent and Don Johnson’s character on Miami Vice. The wound you describe this bullet causing is ridiculous. In fact you described the effect of an M16 rifle’s projo when it performs properly and fragments inside the body. No way a .40 is going to do that – it is just going to mushroom and if it exits the body of your target it will drop harmlessly to earth. No soup bowl sized hole, no ‘mess of a corpse.’

There are handgun bullets that will do it easily, the FN 5.7 for example in it’s military/police loading. There are others as well.

I think that some of your responders need not listen to 9 out of 10 of the voices in their heads. Black Talons have been around for over 10yrs. I invested in a case of 500 x 9′s. By gently heating & melting the lead core out of large hollowpoint bullets and replacing it with as much of the smallest lead shot available #12? and then sealing the hole with a little silicone or hot glue? an effect similar to Glasser safety slugs can be duplicated. I wouldn’t try this with loaded ammo …are you listening? The best kevlar penetrator is 7.62x25mm steel core Tokarev (etc..) Star of David expansion…….. some really are out to lunch with the pixies at the bottom of the garden.

I have a Tok. Mil spec steel core ball rounds scoot along at about 1,600fps. My handloads in the same caliber are moving about 1,400fps with a soft point. But I will stick to my AR. Goes right through a vest.
What makes you think they are the ONLY ones that have these rounds? Everyone I know has Federal HST and Winchester “T” rounds for their guns! Not to mention, we will just take their ammo. 50,000 is nothing compared to 350 million! You need to read more!

Many years ago I remember reading that hollow points were banned under an international agreement for use in war because of their expansion and resultant damage to a soldier. I’m wondering if this is still in effect. And if it is, how is our government justifying their use. Or is it just semantics and these aren’t really hollow points?

No one has said anything about the numerous sleeper cells all around the country. When I lived in a densly populated island in the bay area, I noticed a house full of 20 something arab types who can’t seem to aviod bowing to Mecca every fri. on their porch.
